My Story

Growing up, I was a quiet child with a rich inner world. You could find me in my room enjoying my own company and creating worlds playing teacher. As I got older, I struggled with confidence and anxiety, feeling deeply attuned to those around me. I was also very shy. In my teen years I had recurrent frightening dreams, and often found myself asking, “Who am I?” At the time, my answer was simple: “I just am who I am.”

I always knew I wanted to be a counselor. I fell in love with psychology in high school and went on to earn my undergraduate degree in Psychology. I then attended Richmont Graduate University, where I earned my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling.

Looking back, I realize I often felt lonely and I did not receive the reflection and connection I needed. While I deeply craved connection, I didn’t know that is what I needed. One of my favorite quotes is, “Know thyself.” Through my own journey—receiving compassion from counselors, and doing the work—I’ve learned to love myself more fully. That same compassion is what I strive to offer others.

I’ve been fortunate to work in various settings, including the medical field providing mental health assessments, inpatient mental health treatment centers, college counseling, and private practice. Currently, I see clients in Marietta at Merge Wellness, offering both in-person and Telehealth sessions. I also love teaching workshops and classes.
